The King's Search
Built for the friends you never have time to play with.
Play the PrototypeYour friends are in different cities. Different time zones. You haven't played something together in months — maybe years. The King's Search is a co-op deckbuilder designed around that reality. Explore a few nodes on your phone while your kid naps. Your friend does the same on their lunch break halfway around the world. When you're both free at the same time, you fight a boss together.
How It Plays
Class-driven deckbuilding — Four classes, each with a distinct playstyle. Frontline damage, ranged pressure, party defense, enemy disruption. You build your deck across five procedurally generated stages — camps, towns, shrines, elite fights — and cross-player synergy cards reward the moments you coordinate.
The extraction choice — In the second half of each stage, an abducted princess is hidden somewhere on the map. Whoever finds her becomes her carrier — she follows you into battle with her own HP. You can extract her early at camp or town for a safe win, or push deeper for better rewards and risk losing everything. Her condition shifts based on how quickly she's found and what happens along the way.
Co-op Without Calendars
Async is the default — This isn't multiplayer with an async option bolted on. Async is how the game is meant to be played. Short sessions, every action moves the campaign forward. The princess's condition responds to in-game events, never real-world time. No one is punished for having a life outside the game.
Together when it counts — When players land on the same map node, they fight together. Combat is synchronous and turn-based, with energy and card mechanics that reward coordination. A duo can clear the game — but a full party makes it sing.
Play Anywhere
Runs in your browser as a PWA. Phone, tablet, desktop — no download, no app store, no account required. Free to play.
The Extraction Choice
Every stage ends with a decision. You've found the princess — do you take the safe win, or push deeper for greater rewards? The best runs are the ones where you almost didn't make it out.
Built for Real Life
